I solve business problems that don’t fit neatly into one department.

I work across business strategy, brand, product, marketing, social, revenue and operations to understand what is actually happening inside a business and determine what needs to change.

Systems Thinking Point of View
“I’m a systems thinker. I connect creativity , customer behaviour , data and commercial logic to build growth that works as one system.”
Evelyn Adenike Jegede
How I Think

I look for the system behind the symptom.

Evelyn Adenike Jegede
01

Start with the real problem.

The brief is not always the problem. I look at what is actually creating the result before deciding what deserves attention.

02

Connect the functions.

Brand, product, marketing, revenue and operations are rarely separate problems. One often explains another.

03

Let evidence sharpen creativity.

Instinct becomes stronger when customer behaviour, data, research and testing show what is actually happening.

04

Build the system, not the tactic.

The goal is not one successful campaign. It is a commercial system that can keep learning, improving and producing results.

The approach
I move between creativity and commercial logic because the strongest answers usually live in the relationship between the two.

Capabilities

The work crosses disciplines because the problems do.

I work across the commercial lifecycle of a business. The capability changes depending on where the problem sits — and sometimes the answer lives between several functions at once.

Organic Social

Social media should do more than keep the account active.

Not this
“What should we post this week?”
Ask this instead
What job should social be doing for this business?
Social as a system
I approach organic social as part of the commercial system. Its role changes depending on what the business needs it to accomplish.
01
Build the brand
02
Create demand
03
Develop an audience
04
Support launches
05
Generate inquiries
06
Create sales opportunities
07
Strengthen retention
08
Reveal customer intelligence
The point
Organic social can build the brand, create demand, support launches, generate inquiries, create sales opportunities, strengthen retention and give the business a direct source of customer intelligence. The strategy starts with deciding which of those jobs matters most.
About

I’m most useful where the problem is bigger than one function.

How I work
01

Zoom out.

I look beyond the immediate request to understand the business, customer, market and commercial context surrounding it.

02

Zoom in.

Strategy still has to survive the details. I move comfortably from the bigger decision into execution, testing and measurement.

03

Connect.

I connect decisions across brand, product, marketing, revenue and operations instead of optimizing one function in isolation.

04

Build.

I’m interested in what can actually be implemented, measured and improved — not strategy that only works in a presentation.

I’ve also sat on the other side of the table.

Building my own fashion brand means my relationship with business is not purely advisory. I understand what it feels like when the strategy, creative choices, customer response, resources and reputation are yours.

The advantage
I can move between strategy and execution, while keeping sight of how each decision affects the wider business.

Four countries. Three continents.
One wider frame of reference.

What that changes

Context changes everything.

Living across Nigeria, the United Kingdom, Belgium and Canada has shaped how I understand people, markets and context. Cultural flexibility is less a professional skill I learned and more the way I naturally operate.

I don’t assume that what works for one audience, market or culture will translate unchanged to another. I pay attention to language, behaviour, expectations and the context surrounding a decision.

The business principles may travel. The assumptions shouldn’t.
The problems I like walking into

Sometimes the problem you can see isn’t the one that needs solving.

01
You have traffic, but it isn’t turning into enough business.
02
The business has grown, but the way you operate hasn’t caught up.
03
Your offer makes sense internally, but customers aren’t responding to it.
04
Marketing is active, but everything feels disconnected.
05
You’re launching something new and need the commercial pieces to work together.
06
You know something is off, but you’re not yet sure where the problem actually sits.
07
Your social media looks active, but it isn’t working as a joined-up brand, marketing, and sales system.
The common thread
Those are the problems I like. The ones that need looking at from more than one angle.
